An officer of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), on Wednesday, allegedly shot dead an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) at Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
The LASTMA official, Adeyemo Rotimi, was said to have stopped the SARS officer over a traffic issue, at about 6pm, however, he got down and warned Adeyemo never to stop him again, adding that he did not have right to do so.
In the course of their argument, the angry officer returned to his car, brought out a gun and shot the official dead. The officer was subsequently nabbed, beaten, before being handed over to the police.
